MASALA MAGGI NOODLES

This recipe gives a delicious twist to the regular Maggi noodles. The addition of tomatoes, onions and masalas add a wonderful taste to the noodles. This is my Mom in laws recipe and is a great hit at home.

Ingredients

4 cakes Maggi noodles
Maggi masala that comes with the pack
3 tbsp oil
2 tomatoes sliced and deseeded
1 onion chopped
½ tsp garlic paste
½ tsp ginger paste
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp salt
Chopped coriander and mint leaves

Method
  • Break each Maggi noodle cake into 4 pieces and keep ready.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add onions and saute till onions turn golden.
  • Add garlic paste and ginger paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
  • Next add red chilli powder, salt and chopped tomatoes.
  • Cook till the oil starts separating.
  • Add maggi masala and mix well.
  • Add 8 to 9 cups water and bring to a boil.
  • When water starts boiling, add maggi cakes and chopped coriander and mint leaves.
  • Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles.
  • Open the lid, transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot.
